Tell us about yourself and your inspiring story:

My name is Karen Bassily, I am a fashion and fitness model with over 6 years of modeling experience and 4 years of acting experience. My ethnicity is Egyptian, I was born in Cairo Egypt, and moved to the United States at 11. I am now 24 years old, I speak Arabic, English, French, and some Spanish. Moving to the U.S. I knew zero English and had to learn the language from a young age, I now speak it fluently. I have created my design for swimsuits, the brand KB, which is for Karen Bassily. A reversible high-quality bikini, another product I created is a custom-made perfume that included 4 unique scents called eternal Breeze but didn’t receive the recognition I expected.

My modeling work includes being featured on the cover of many fashion magazines, a lead role in an Arabic music video that was aired on TV in Egypt, a background extra in Wiz Khalifa’s music video called Ready for Love, walking in many fashion shows and did an advertisement for doordash company. I am also a beauty queen, I represented my country in an international pageant in 2022 as Miss Egypt and won the title of Miss Global Ambassador.

My acting work includes a horror film that is currently still in production called Demon Fever, I played an attractive detective role in 5 different scenes.  The movie will be released in 2025 with a movie premier in LA and it will be available to watch on Tubi, Roku, Amazon Prime, and many more channels.  I am also an influencer and creator, my goal is to inspire as many people as possible to believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams. My biggest challenge in my career is facing rejection and being in competition with other beautiful women when it comes to pageant competition or getting paid jobs, however, I believe that my only competition is myself to truly become a better version of myself than I was the day before. Sometimes my biggest challenge is my own self, however, I do not let doubt or fear stop me or slow me down. I do not get jealous of others but I get inspired. 

What makes me happy is doing what I love and inspiring others, giving advice to those who need it, and being a good role model brings the most joy to my heart. My goal is to continue to inspire others and remain the best version of myself while achieving a high form of success in the modeling, acting, and pageant industry. I would also like to write my own book in the future about the challenges I’ve overcome so others can learn from it and to help those who have encountered rough times in life to show them there is hope no matter the circumstances. Additionally, I would love to open my own modeling agency in the future to teach new models how to walk and pose for photoshoots and on the runway. I am a licensed cosmetologist, I graduated from Saddleback Beauty Academy in Laguna Hills and would love to open my own salon in the future when I am more financially stable. Another dream of mine is to purchase my own property to have stability in my life and a place to live and call home for the long term. 

Lastly, the advice I would like to give to humanity is to never give up, no matter your circumstances you should always keep going and fulfill your purpose. We all have a purpose on this earth and we MUST fulfill it. 

Be real, don’t be perfect. Your current situation is not your final destination, therefore never stop chasing your dreams. Confidence is key and having a pure heart is the most important thing as a human, always be kind to others and see the beauty in everything. Be thankful for the good and the bad experiences, because the good encourages you, and the bad teaches you.
